#40/365 Paintings

I remember crying tears of joy at Cirque Du Soleil when I saw the rope dancer perform. She commands the art of modern dance using all dimensions of space with full body trust to a large, itchy rope. That’s quite something. Hypnotic gestures of grace. Not one cell in the performer’s body and gesture out of place. If I can’t be her, at least I get to paint her and remember that moment. Painting: You get to experience the soul of life twice. A little red wine helps too.

Project Notes: I had my palette all set to neutrals. I wanted to challenge myself to eliminate color. I love color so much, I can easily go overboard. Well, I lost control on that red streak in her hair. The rest is history. Happy Saturday everyone!
